Mark C. Lawson Owner & Licensed Funeral Director

In January, 2012 Gayle O'Neil sold the business in Corbin, Ky to Mark C. Lawson. Mark has over 30 years experience in the Funeral business, including 21 years at O'Neil Funeral Home. Gayle O'Neil continued to be actively involved , and reside at the funeral home until his death on April 18, 2014. Mark's goal is to continue carrying on the O'Neil tradition of the at home feeling that has made families feel welcome and comfortable. Mark, and the friendly staff are here to assure that tradition will continue for years to come. Today, there is increased interest in prearrangement and personalization of funerals. As an independent, locally owned firm, O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home has the flexibility to meet this special needs of all our families with honesty in business and dignified, compassionate service. Our standard of excellence, begun more than eighty-four years ago, is alive today under the direction of Mark C. Lawson and his staff, and will be the foundation of our service in the future.

Austin C. Rose Kentucky Level II Funeral Director & Emablmer

Austin C. Rose is a Kentucky Level II Funeral Director & Embalmer and has been with O'Neil-lawson Funeral Home since October 2019.  Austin was born December 10th, 1997, in Dayton, Ohio he is formerly of Kettering, Ohio. He and his family moved back to Williamsburg to be with his grandparents Bill (Pete) and Rucella Rose. He is the oldest son of Charles (Chuck) and Michelle Rose. Austin is a graduate of Whitley County High School, where he served as an FFA officer and many other extra ciricular activities. Austin has two siblings Lauren Rose and Caleb Rose. Austin is an 8 year member of the Patterson Creek Volunteer Fire Department. In his free time Austin enjoys being with family and friends and his dog, he enjoyings fishing, hiking, camping and other outside activites. He attends Watson Chapel Baptist Church and is a member of Northridge Freewill Baptist Church of Dayton, Ohio.He looks to begin School First January of 2020 Austin will major in an A bachelors degree in Applied Mortuary Science an an minor in funeral certifictions.

Tyler M. Wilson Kentucky Level II Funeral Director & Embalmer

Tyler joined the O'Neil - Lawson Funeral Home in the Spring of 2017. He was born in Corbin, Kentucky but resides in Keavy. Tyler is the oldest son of the Late Robert L. Wilson & Rebecca Bunch, Grandson of Carl H. & Patsy Dodd - the late George Bunch & Luella Bunch and Great Grandson of the Lates' Major Carl H. Dodd & Libbie Rose-Dodd.   A 2016 graduate of South Laurel High School and Junior at Eastern Kentucky University, Tyler is enrolled in a Dual Program that will earn him an Associates of the Arts in Police Studies,  a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and is enrolled with Blue Ridge Community College in North Carolina where he is currently studying Death Investigations. He plans to continue his education after graduating from Eastern in the Spring of 2020 with plans to attend the Southern Police Institute (University of Louisville) in the Fall of 2020, to complete his Masters of Science in Criminal Justice. He plans to attend Mid-America College of Funeral Service in the near future.

 

Tyler is highly involved with his community, a member of Locust Grove Christian Church. A Kentucky State Certified 150 Level Firefighter, Tyler has served 6 years with the Keavy Fire Department where he assists with Public Affairs & Information where in 2014 he earned the Keavy 200 Outstanding Service Award, the only to be awarded to date.

 

Tyler Enjoys the outdoors, fishing, hiking and traveling. Tyler is pleased to serve the families of O'Neil - Lawson Funeral Home to the best of his ability.

Jonathan Wyatt Funeral Service Assistant, Minister & Pianist

Jonathan Wyatt serves as Funeral Service Assistant. He is a 2009 graduate of Williamsburg High School and 2012 Graduate of the University of The Cumberland's with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education. Jonathan is a Licensed Minister and Minister of Music at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Corbin, KY. He is the son of Jeff and Jennifer Wyatt of Williamsburg, KY. The grandson of Kenneth and Joylene Wyatt of Corbin, KY and the late Arnold Jones and Lola Jones of Mud Creek, KY. He is a public school teacher. Jonathan resides in Williamsburg, KY. Jonathan is pleased to serve the families of O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home by providing them with services that will help in this time of need.
